“So I just thought I would really like to say to all those brides out there, or any future brides thinking about getting married, to get in touch with is Susi Liddington or visit her site I honestly can not thank Susi enough for her amazing support and incredible talent. She turned a small vision of mine into something truly magical! A dream wedding that I never would have been able to create without her! So to Susi Thank you, thank you, thank you and as I have said time and time again “You were born for this job”.

“Thanks so much for everything Susi, you made our dream wedding day a reality. It was amazing being able to just relax before the big day knowing that you had all the decorating taken care of. Both the marque and the reception venue were absolutely stunning, even better than I had imagined. You have such an amazing creative ability and I will be recommending you to every future bride I come across xox”

“Wow what an amazing weekend! We had a spectacular wedding that ticked all of our boxes and then a few more. Susi worked like a trooper taking care of all the little details so we didn’t have to. Her local knowledge and beautiful personality will make her an asset to any wedding…”

Jonno & Kelsey Donald: 2014
“We were able to do both our engagement party and wedding with Susi at Liddington Gardens! Each was its own unique event as there are so many different ways to use her venue. Susi is a fabulously fun, creative, and organized woman. We had a blast working alongside her throughout the planning and the events. Susi asked and took notice to what I did and didn’t like and catered to that terrifically. She executed everything fantastically from the decorations and food all the way to letting us know what extra rentals we needed. On top of that, she gave us fabulous referrals for anything we needed that she was unable to do for us. The gardens and venue provided a wonderful place for the guests to enjoy while we were able to take some fantastic pictures in a variety of settings! Susi saved the day both times with our rainy, sunny, rainy again weather! She was beyond prepared. We walked away from each event having enjoyed our time with family and friends, but also knowing it was a beautiful event that everyone could enjoy!”

Thank you for your time to meet with us and your hard work on the day. We loved every minute and had such a perfect wedding  …”

“You were an amazing wedding planner; I have had so many compliments regarding the ceremony set-up decorations and the presentation of food! The whole day had gone so fast there were so many little things I’ve missed, but thankfully the photos and videos have captured all those memories for me! I feel like thank you is not enough! Derek and I are so blown away with the attention to detail in everything. I really got the wedding of my dreams and am so lucky that I have had you by my side on this. I would highly recommend you to the world. Mahinepua is such a special place and holds a very big spot in our hearts, as do you =)…”

“Liddington Gardens – Wow!
We could not have wished for a more perfect setting to celebrate our wedding ceremony. With the temperature reaching 39 degrees on a February afternoon, our guests revelled in the shade of mature trees and cooling sculptured pond and stream with complete privacy, truly an amazing setting. Then to be able to have our reception on the spacious wrap around decking with the swimming pool, allowed our guests to choose sun or shade.
We are forever grateful to you both for sharing Liddington Gardens with us…”

Anya and Daniel Williams: March 2012
“As we live in Auckland and were planning our wedding in Kerikeri, we engaged Susi to assist us with finding a venue, organising catering, hair & makeup, sound & lighting, marquee hire and various other things you just don’t think about! The first major obstacle that Susi got us through was finding a venue… No mean feat since she had to persuade a beach-front home owner to let us rent their house for a weekend. Mission accomplished and it was the perfect location for our special day. Susi was always thorough and it’s obvious she does this work for the thrill of seeing couples happily married more than any other reason. She was there the day before, all day, and on the day itself, again all day, making sure everything went to plan and minimising any stress for us as we prepared for our special day. We’d recommend Susi to anyone looking for an affordable and effective wedding planner to help them make the most of their big day.”

Jeremy and Kylie: 17 December 2005
“Jeremy and I were married in Raglan, followed by a reception on our property in Waitetuna.  A marquee had been organised through a friend to be delivered.  This arrived late, had holes in it and a side missing.   When spirits were down Susi made everyone laugh and then managed to transform this incredibly unattractive, three-sided, marquee into a stunning reception area with very little time and at a low cost.  With her creative talents Susi can cater for any budget.   Susi is a wonderful cook and provided all of the nibbles for our day on her own stunning platters.   Susi was a great communicator and co-ordinated all of the different families when help was required and to ensure that everybody had a great time. We definitely owe the success of our wedding to Susi’s creative talents and hard-work and I wish I could get married again so I could have Susi plan my wedding day all over again!”

“I met Susi through my husband three years ago and was immediately great friends with Susi and her girls. After we were engaged I had decided that I didn’t really want a hens night because I wasn’t really interested in what a traditional ‘hens night’ entailed. My friends went along with this and I never heard anything else about it, this was until my mum dragged me out of an appointment and wouldn’t tell me where we were going. We ended up at Liddington Waterford Gardens where Susi and her girls had organised a surprise hens brunch that was gorgeous. With a white and pink vintage theme it was perfect for me and so relaxing and low key. The details blew me away, the time and effort put into the day was apparent everywhere. There was stunning china, flowers, food and champagne cocktails.  The way my personality was captured in the details of the day was amazing!

Our wedding was over a year in the making. When we first started planning there was no question about venue, since I was a little girl I had wanted to get married on my aunty and uncles private beach in Paihia, a place that is absolutely stunning and means the world to me.

The weather leading up to the wedding was not great but we were doing everything we could to make the wedding and reception happen at the beach. Unfortunately the day before the wedding we were issued with a severe weather warning and we had to make a last minute change of venue to the woolshed which was a dirty mess as woolsheds are.

I was devastated and mum rang Susi who had been such a huge help and support with everything wedding related already to ask for her help, we told Susi our colour scheme but other than that we told her to take charge and do whatever she could as we had no ideas. Susi and her troops rolled up that morning organised our friends and family who wanted to help into little production groups, got to work and didn’t stop until 7pm that night. As we had planned a beach wedding the only decorations we had arranged were 10 lanterns to hang in the trees and the table centrepieces, everything else was pulled together by Susi in a day.

Susi bought so many resources with her, giant umbrellas, ivy and foliage from her own garden, apples that she had painstakingly strung up ready to hang, tissue paper  flowers, fairy lights, vases full of lemons etc.

The result was stunning I never ever dreamed the woolshed could look the way it did. We had a hideous day with torrential rain and wind but it didn’t matter in the end because everything was gorgeous and more than we could have hoped for. Without Susi’s help, attention to detail and expertise our day would have been pretty disappointing. Susi worked the whole day with a huge smile on her face and her infectious personality made it so much fun for everyone. Susi you are amazingly talented and one of a kind!”

Marianella and Peter Watman from Sydney Australia: Married 2011, Russell
“My wife Marianella and I recently married in New Zealand. It was a pretty tough brief for our wedding planner Susi Liddington. We had to change venue three times once due to logistics and the second time due to problems with the venue. I should add that neither of these venues were Susi’s recommendation! Given that we live in Australia this was an added complication for everyone. The thing about Susi is she’s very positive. Not only did we eventually get the perfect wedding venue for the perfect wedding – it was the venue Susi had always had in mind. Her suggestions were great, she dealt with a myriad of logistics and her emails were very entertaining as well as informative. Both Marianella and I recommend Susi unreservedly. We started out commissioning a wedding planner and ended up with a good friend.” Pete, the groom

“Susi has been a life saver. She saved our wedding day. Susi thought of every detail. I was relaxed knowing Susi was behind the scenes. Susi had a lot of work and she took it on with a smile. She made me laugh every time we talked over the phone. I am grateful for her persistence, professionalism, friendliness and honesty, When you are on another country, honesty and to know that someone cares for your best interest is a blessing.” Marianella, the bride

“Pete and Marianella’s wedding could simply be summarised in three words ‘a perfect and unforgettable day’ – Susi was able to fulfill Pete & Marianella’s overseas dream wedding with outstanding professionalism in tight circumstances. My daughter can only speak wonders of Susi and she reminisces of the day over and over again with fond memories. I have no hesitation in recommending Susi, she is a professional lady, very knowledgeable of the area who has gone above and beyond the call of duty.” Moises Medrano, father of the bride

To whom it may concern,

” It is my pleasure to recommend the services of Ms Susi Liddington. I taught for six years at Kerikeri High School and had the honour of working with Ms Liddington in several fundraisers for my large youth leadership groups. Some of these were major events involving preparations for shows and public performances to raise funds for trips to Europe and national tournaments.

These huge fundraisers succeeded because of the drive and commitment of Ms Liddington, and the staff (students) she was able to motivate and lead to complete the large number of tasks required for top-class shows – such as our highly successful celebrity dinner (fully catered silver service) and comedy show. Her expertise was appreciated in decorating the venue, installing equipment such as cookers, fans & lights, preparing food, drinks & nibbles, dressing the caterers and fully preparing our students for their entertainment segments.

Ms Liddington is very much a hands on co-ordinator who rolls up her sleeves when jobs are there to be done. Her ability to liaise with everyone involved in a professional and caring way ensures a relaxed, smooth and business-like atmosphere where tasks are expertly planned for and ticked off when completed. Her positive, welcoming demeanour and polished planning oozes efficiency and success – she knows what she is doing!

Our fundraisers would not have achieved their success, public appreciation and substantial monetary returns if it were not for her involvement. She has set the benchmark at Kerikeri High School for superb events organisation. I say this not only as the manager of youth leadership groups but as a staff member who witnessed her expertise catering for our big school balls.

Because of her studious work over the years I had known her, I also approached Ms Liddington to be a lead kaimahi (worker) on our youth leadership trip to Italy in 2008. This was a voluntary undertaking whereby she had to pay her own airfares and accommodation. The three week tour necessitated helping to prepare our group of students for twice daily kapa haka and Maori games performances at international venues. Her inclusive cultural cognizance and hard work helped to make that cultural exchange a superb success.”
